We are currently working with a leading bespoke manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are looking for a Junior Installation Technician to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will involve extensive travel and you will be based in the USA/Canada for 8-9 months of the year working on installation projects. All travel allowances/daily expenses will be covered and this is a really exciting role for someone who is keen to work abroad, whilst progressing their career!

This is a unique role which will require the Junior Installation Technician to work as a key member of the installation team on customer sites throughout the UK, USA and Canada. Typical installation sites are medical facilities, research institutes and Universities with install times varying from several weeks to months depending on the size of the project.

This is a hands-on role, working as part of the installation team - use of hand tools/power tools is required [tools will be supplied].
You will be working with pre-prepared aluminium framework, metal panels & plastic cladding.
Should be able to deliver high quality workmanship and finishing, to tight tolerances & specifications [full training will be given].
Assist in all aspects of the installation sequence.
To assist with general duties at UK headquarters during any periods between site installations.

Candidate Essentials:
HQ is based on the outskirts of Maidstone, however, installations can be anywhere in the UK, USA or Canada and there may be time required at company headquarters between installs.
Willingness to work away from home for extended periods in both the UK and abroad
[accommodation & standard expenses paid].
Full driving licence and valid passport.
Excellent attention to detail.
Professional manner and appearance, good housekeeping skills.
Flexibility to work extended/unsociable hours if required.

Desirable Skills:
Shop fitting experience.
Sheet metal experience.
An understanding of manufacturing processes or an engineering background.
Good knowledge of current health & safety practices.
Good organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload well.
Clear communication skills at all levels, written and verbal.
Confidence, enthusiasm, self-motivation and determination.
