Successful and popular Alternative Provision located in the borough of Greenwich is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Learning Mentor, who specialises with challenging behaviour. This post is to commence in September 2019!

State of the art and dedicated Alternative Provision in Greenwich catering to secondary level students & above. They work hard to ensure students have a passion for education and to ensure work with the young person to get a good understanding of working to set goals and aspirations.

Currently recruiting for a Behaviour Learning Mentor / SEN TA/ HLTA / Teaching Assistant who has experience with SEMH. Full time and temp to perm post for the right person. You will essentially be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and also within small groups. Your role would be to ensure that students who have been pulled out of their classes are mentored and you would try to r-integrate them back into their classes. You will encounter challenging behaviour so it is imperative you are able to build a strong rapport with your students. Additionally it would be beneficial if you have restraint training (but not essential as training offered) The successful a Behaviour Learning Mentor / SEN TA/ HLTA / Teaching Assistant must have experience at an SEN School / Alternative Provision or a mainstream school.

* You are either a Behaviour Learning Mentor / SEN TA/ HLTA / Teaching Assistant

* Experience with pupils with challenging behaviour pupils (ie, EBD, SEMH etc)

* Have worked with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis

* Must have a minimum of 6 months in either an SEN or Mainstream School

* Able to build a strong rapport with children and young people

* Can manage difficult behaviour and able to win your students over
