Job Description



This position is for 2nd Shift Production Supervisor with a start time at 2:00pm.



Position Summary:



Must have the ability to communicate and enhance morale to production personnel, must have the ability to supervise and train production personnel, work with quality representatives, have knowledge of various types of materials and processes, must be involved in the material review board.

Must be able to schedule jobs throughout the processes, must understand priority lists and meet deadlines. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out and follow instructions.

Must be able to deal with various problems arising in different aspects throughout the production department.

Must have the ability to communicate with customers using an acceptable and professional vocabulary. Supervisors as deemed appropriate may assign additional functions and requirements.



QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:



- Hands on production supervisor experienced in working in fast paced environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; both orally and in writing.

- Able to work well with others and participate as part of a team.

- Supervises and coordinates day to day activities of production personnel.

- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

- Monitors and reports daily production metrics.

- Ensures that all safety & regulations are followed

- Assist in special projects and assignments as assigned.



Requirements for the position:



- Bachelors Degree in Business Management or related field; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

- Mechanical background a plus

- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment

- 5 plus years experience in a supervisory / management role with strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to read, write and speak English is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload while paying attention to detail.

- Possess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills for supporting all aspects of the forged products infrastructure.

- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, employee relations, quality, productivity and cost.

- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office. .

- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
