Food & Drink Futures are looking to recruit a Planning & Logistics Manager for one of a reputable multi-site FMCG manufacturing business in Yorkshire.

The Planning & Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain and Logistics planners for the operations at their head office whilst taking a hands on approach.

The Planning & Logistics Manager will join a team of logisticians who manage movement of raw materials, onto the individual lines, work with the procurement team to assess and monitor suppliers, and providing the production teams with materials. As well as their own sites, the planning teams also manage the product supply chain from outsourced manufacturing sites alongside their colleagues at the other group sites.

You will be responsible for the planning function, to ensure effective control of the factories production schedules and resource replenishment. You will need to be a proven leader and have a strong planning background. You will have a technical direction with strong communication and coaching skills to ensure safe production, high quality products to ensure the highest level of service to customers reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain.

The business has enjoyed substantial growth since its inception, with ambitious, sustainable growth plans going forward. They are looking to recruit this position to help support these plans.

The successful Planning & Logistics Manager will have direct experience of production and materials planning, ideally within a FMCG operation. It is essential that they are able to understand the demands of the consumer industry and its client expectations.

Considered applicants will be able to demonstrate experience in managing teams of planners. You will provide high levels of coaching and support to the planners, supporting them with any difficult problems.

A collaborative management style is required, with strong communication and people skills. Candidates will be able to work cross functionally and be able to create and develop internal relationships.
