Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervising, training, and performance of warehouse staff.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
  • Determine staffing requirements and assist in the hiring process, including training.
  • Assist in establishing departmental policies, goals, objectives, procedures and manage daily operations. 
  • Assist in planning and directing operational budgets, goals, staffing and operational objectives.
  • Analyze and report daily performance data against defined parameters. 
  • Ensure customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and that the organization is meeting or        exceeding customer expectations.
  • Plan and track productivity and quality to support customers’ requirement and drive for improvement.
  • Interact with internal technical and test engineers to understand technical requirements to assist the team with test,            repair, debug, or new products transfers.
  • Monitor the performance of quality, measuring against set standards.
  • Research new and alternative methods to reduce waste and improve productivity and efficiencies.
  • Oversee inventory in production and coordinate with Inventory Control team to support any logistics service as required.
  • Monitor standards for quality as well as health and safety.
  • Comply with agency, customer and corporate guidelines and procedures.
  • Additional tasks as business needs require.

Education and Experience:

  • Must have minimum 2+ year’s operations, production and quality management or related experience. 
  • Must have project coordination, production planning, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, hardworking, be a team player        and able to work in a team environment.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Lean principles knowledge a plus.

Work Environment:

Daily production floor work environment, with industry leading test equipment.  May require evening, weekend availability.
