Role: x2 Ocean Freight Operators - IMPORTS

Location: East Midlands / Castle Donnington

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Tallgrass recruitment is proud to be working with one of the world's largest employee-owned logistics organisations who are a multiple awarding company that have been trading for over 25 years and boost over 40 offices worldwide who are looking to add x2 Ocean IMPORTS Freight Operators to their ever-growing ranks.

Job purpose
Accountable to Branch Manager for the day-to-day servicing of their nomination client base, ensuring that procedures are followed, profits are maximised, and trade is developed through relationship building, handling operations from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
· Seek, develop, and secure new opportunities from existing business.
· Identify and monitor key performance and financial indicators for all client/agent activity, maximising profit where possible.
· Maintain and monitor service expectations of existing and key accounts
· Support external sales force and handle quotation process.
· Management of business from inception to completion.
· Select appropriate suppliers to maximise freight profits.
· Manage your own time to best efficiency for the business.
· Integrate and co-ordinate new business into our service network
· Build relationships with clients and develop these through good communication and where applicable, face to face meeting.
· Work in collaboration with the accounts team to make sure customers terms are adhered to.
· Demonstrate & generate enthusiasm
· Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
· Influence people positively
· Develop trust and respect from colleagues across the organisation
· Identify problems early & respond in a timely fashion
· Work with the team to find solutions
· Communicate effectively (active listening, questioning)
