Description

One of our successful house building clients are currently looking for Quantity Surveyors up to Senior level to join their experienced and highly skilled Commercial team.

The role will see you be based out of their Beaconsfield office and work on multiple high spec projects located across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

In this role, you will be expected to:

* Assist with the preparation of building budgets when requested

* Check drawings to ensure the proposals / details are practical and economic

* Prepare subcontract enquiries and send out for pricing in sufficient time to ensure that contracts are placed to suit the building programme

* Prepare and submit for approval a proposed subcontractor tender list

* Obtain a minimum of four competitive prices per trade for contract work. Analysing prices when returned ensuring they are on a “like for like” basis, establishing the best value for money quotation

* Produce a detailed trade specific scope of works and qualification notes to accompany the enquiry documentation

* Present and submit to the Commercial Director/Head of Commercial a completed subcontract order approval form

* Place contracts within approved budget values

* Place contracts / orders with subcontractors in accordance with agreed terms and conditions

* Process stage payments to subcontractors when due

* Process the deduction of contra charges from subcontractors’ payments at the appropriate date

* Process the deduction of liquidated and ascertained damages where appropriate

* Process payment of retention monies when due

* Keep up to date with work requirements

The Benefits package on offer is:

* A leading basic salary up to £85,000K for the right person

* £6,000K car allowance

* Discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of your basic salary and long term of up to 5% released after 3 years
