Description

Our client, a leader in delivering innovative and high-quality engineering solutions, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to develop their skills in a supportive environment while contributing to large-scale engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations and applications for payment.
Support the monitoring of project costs to ensure budgets are maintained and variances are reported.
Participate in the preparation of final accounts and resolution of contractual claims.
Conduct material and quantity take-offs from engineering drawings and specifications.
Support subcontractor management, including preparation of orders and assessment of applications for payment.
Assist in the preparation of internal cost/value reports and other financial documentation.
Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.

Experience:

Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or working towards one).
Some experience or knowledge of quantity surveying practices, preferably within the engineering or construction sector.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, project costing systems
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
