English Teacher

Location: Caldicot
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for notice periods)
Pay: £166.32 - £210 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3 PM

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a dynamic Secondary School in Caldicot. This role involves working with students aged 11-18 in a thriving English department, committed to helping pupils achieve their full academic potential.

This position is ideal for experienced educators with at least one year of teaching experience. However, newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply. The role starts immediately and continues until the end of the academic year.

Candidates from nearby areas, including South Hereford, are encouraged to apply, as the school is easily accessible via excellent transport links.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspiring students to develop independence and critical thinking skills.
Assigning meaningful homework and stimulating exercises to enhance learning.
Delivering engaging and challenging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Building strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
Providing detailed, constructive feedback on assignments and essays.
Requirements:

Enhanced Child Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Two references from recent employers.
Proof of the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
