Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Account Specialist to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounts payable and have proficiency in various accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the overall financial health of their organisation.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.

* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a prompt manner.

* Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

* Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage for data entry and reporting.

* Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

* Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

* Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and answering queries.

* Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role. - Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.

* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
