Technical Author (Product Development / Marketing) 

Epping, Essex – Office Based
 
Up to £40,000 + Free Onsite Parking
 
Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 18:00, Friday 08:30 to 17:00 (Including 1 Hour Break)
 
Technical Author required for a leading supplier of industrial equipment and tools. You will work with a wide range of products, many of which have won awards.
 
Candidates will need experience working with technical products and specifications. Experience working within a marketing team would be advantageous, however, candidates with any experience working with technical writing and documentation are encouraged to apply.
 
Working within a marketing team of around 8/9 people, you will support the ongoing development of new products and coordinate documentation and marketing activities for product launches.
 
The Technical Author Role:
 
Supporting the development and introduction of new products:

•     Writing technically accurate copy
•     Briefing design teams regarding packaging and labelling
•     Proof reading manuals
•     Sending product briefs to suppliers
 
Sales Support:

•     Preparing marketing campaigns for new and existing products
•     Development of brochures, single page releases etc.
•     Management of special project releases
 
Research and Reporting:

•     Post campaign sales analysis
•     Research customer databases
•     Researching new customers
•     Customer feedback
 
The Successful Candidate:

•     Experience working with technical products
•     From a technical writing or marketing background
