Clearfield Recruitment have partnered with a family-run Main Contractor and Developer based in Buckinghamshire. With a passion for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects, they work with a diverse range of clients, including Private Developers, Local Authorities, and Private Homeowners. Due to continued development of the organisation, we are now seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join the team.
In this pivotal role, you will drive the planning and pre-construction phase of projects, ensuring seamless execution and successful delivery. You will lead key functions such as construction estimating, cost and design management, and tendering, while also nurturing relationships with clients, consultants, and public sector stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of this role will include:
* Identify opportunities through research into DPS frameworks and Barbour ABI.
* Develop and maintain relationships with Employers' Agents, Architects, and Public Sector Clients.
* Chair bi-weekly Business Development meetings with Directors.
* Ensure enquiries received and tenders submitted are maintained at a value of £15m per month.
* Lead and coordinate tender processes with the support of Estimators, the Contracts Manager, and the Bid Writer.
* Oversee marketing efforts, including creating impactful marketing material and planning targeted mail campaigns.
* Strengthen existing client relationships across both public and private sectors.
The ideal applicant will possess the following skills and experience;
* Motivated and detail-oriented individual
* Strong pre-construction and leadership skills.
* Experience in construction estimating, cost management, and budgeting.
* Expertise in design management and proposal writing.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A deep understanding of building regulations and construction processes.
* The ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
* A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
