Description

Milk Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Didsbury, Manchester starting in January 2025. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment for young children, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally as they embark on their educational journey.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for early years education, possess strong classroom management skills, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences. You will work closely with a team of dedicated staff to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of Reception-aged children.
* Create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel encouraged to learn and grow.
* Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular activities and support school initiatives.
* Maintain effective communication with parents, caregivers, and the wider school community.
* Support children’s social and emotional development, promoting positive behavior and self-confidence.
* Contribute to a whole-school ethos of inclusion, diversity, and respect.

Key Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with young children in an early years setting, ideally within a Reception class.
* A clear understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and its practical application.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Passion for working with children and fostering their development.
* A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with phonics and early literacy development.
* Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies to support diverse learners.
* Experience in using modern educational technology in the classroom.
