About You

You are a strong writer and strategist who can collaborate with marketers to translate technical jargon into stories and creative assets that drive business value for our current and prospective customers. You have journalistic integrity and an obsession with finding new ways to best reach our target audiences.

We are looking for someone who can use their imagination and expertise to research and write engaging short and long form content that drives company and product awareness as well as growth with our customer expansion and new customer acquisition. Content includes, but is not limited to, blog posts, checklists, eBooks, infographics, paid social media, case studies, reports, sales assets, bylines for national publications, email and landing pages.

 
Core Responsibilities:

  • The Content Marketing Manager/Director will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will lead the development of our content marketing strategy to support key business initiatives, product ecosystem and growth goals.
  • As a natural storyteller, you’ll develop engaging long and short form content to build brand awareness, drive product education and adoption, engage with our key personas through email, paid media, conferences and other channels to drive growth and revenue for the business.
  • You will work closely with subject matter authorities across the organization to develop thought leadership assets that will have a direct impact on the buyer journey and customer lifecycle, from attracting prospective new clients to driving user engagement and expanding our existing brands.
  • You’ll collaborate with the demand generation team to stay on track of campaign deadlines and goals.
  • Research and give creative ideas to support key content goals
  • Build an engaging content calendar and a variety of supporting assets to align with key personas and content pillars.
  • Align content pillars to our sales and GTM strategy; driven by our target personas.
  • Work with internal marketing team to develop video scripts for brand videos such as case studies, brand sizzle reel, Founder videos, etc.
  • Support coordinated campaigns, including paid digital media, email marketing, PR, social media, webinars and events.
  • Support sales and customer success teams in customer specific content and requests to drive engagement and expansion in our current accounts.
  • Build content for product launches and new releases including campaigns and activities to support customer acquisition and retention, by collaborating across sales, product and marketing.
  • Work with internal team on the product marketing strategy to execute product launches, new releases, user engagement and retention strategies.
  • Measure and report on content performance, providing updates, using data and analytics to support recommendations and achieve critical metrics (ex: conversion rates, # of followers, organic web traffic)
  • Collect insights from sales and customer success teams to create innovative sales assets. Evaluate data and insights from performance, customer and consumer feedback, competitor activity etc.

Preferred Experience:

  • Adept in understanding the big picture to generate fresh ideas, but simultaneously able to apply your attention to detail at every turn.
  • Track record of creating compelling content for B2B tech brands.
  • Consumer insights/ market research experience preferred.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and deeply experienced in ensuring on time completion of projects.
  • Experience creating top, middle and bottom of the funnel content that is customer- facing.
  • Ability to create content across the marketing and sales funnel; experience editing and improving content authored by internal team members.
  • Basic understanding of SEO marketing principles. Bonus if you are familiar with SEO copywriting!
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your skill in original content creation/storytelling and editing across an array of media.  Please provide a link to your portfolio when you submit your application.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related degree and/or relevant work experience.
  • 6-10+ years of experience in content marketing.
