Parts Picker

The Company

A leading engineering business who design, manufacture and install special purpose machinery.

The Role

My client is looking for a parts picker to work as part of a small team picking parts for the fabrication of their machines. It involves a mixture of manual handling of materials, placing items for jobs together and then delivering to members of the fabrication team. The factory is a busy environment and Health & Safety training will be provided to the successful applicant

The work will include the following:

Picking of components/parts required for their machinery

Keeping the parts picking area tidy

Ensuring, where possible, parts for same jobs are kept close together

Role involves a mixture of handling small parts and larger pieces of steelwork

Maintaining high customer service when dealing with colleagues from all departments

Other reasonable duties as required by your line manager

The Candidate

To apply for this role, you must

1. Experience working in a factory environment

2. Well organised and proactive, with high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

3. Ability to read technical drawings beneficial but not essential

4. Forklift licence beneficial

5. Able to work independently as well as part of a team
