About the Part-Time Mentor position:

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are a leading tutoring agency looking for mentors to support students on a 1:1 basis, based in Grays and the surrounding area.

Developing and using strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
To develop a 1:1 mentoring relationship with your student.
To support student's in vocational activities, both in the home and in the local community.
Working directly with individuals to raise self-esteem and confidence, with a view to improving their personal and social skills.

Contract Details for Part-Time Mentor position:

Location - Grays
Position - Part Time Mentor
Type of work - Mentoring
Start date - ASAP
Contract type - Temporary - likely to be long term
Likely Duration - Ongoing until the student can return to school.
Full time/part-time - Part-time
Minimum rate of pay - £20 - £25 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Part-Time Mentor position:

You MUST have relevant experience working with young people
Experience working with Students with SEMH would be advantageous.
Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
The ability to engage and motivate students.

To be eligible for the Part-Time Mentor position through Prospero Teaching you must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
