Warehouse Operative

£12.28 per hour plus overtime rates and excellent benefits

Our client based in St Ives has a large manufacturing facility. They are looking for a temporary to permanent warehouse operative to join their team due to internal promotion. The environment is clean and fully airconditioned.

Main responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative:

Replenish bin stock on the lines.

Decanting/unboxing incoming goods.

Preparing parts for production.

Locate Stock in Warehouse.

Removing waste packaging and recycling.

Ordering parts with suppliers by raising electronic orders.

Help to set Kanban levels to support operations requirements.

Return packaging to suppliers.

Chasing suppliers for undelivered Kanban orders.

Carry out routine inventory counts.

Lifting and moving products up to 20kg.

Skills required for the Warehouse Operative:

Experience of a busy warehouse.

Ability to work following standard work procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and reliability.

Excellent communication and be able to communicate in English.

A hands-on person, keen to learn.

Forklift would be ideal however the client is also happy to train.

Hours of work for the Warehouse Operative:

Monday to Wednesday 8am to 6pm and Thursday 8am to 5.30pm
