Teaching Assistant - General TA and 1:1 Autism Support Role (Haringey)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a primary school in Tottenham, Haringey Borough, for a Teaching Assistant to join their team in January 2025. This flexible role involves both general classroom support across KS1/KS2 and providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Autism.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Support children with Autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them navigate their academic and emotional needs.
Fulfil general Teaching Assistant duties across various classrooms in KS1/KS2, assisting the teacher and pupils.
Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that encourages pupil development.
Adapt your Teaching Assistant skills to meet the unique needs of each classroom and individual pupil.

Ideal Candidate for the Teaching Assistant Role:

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting children with Autism or similar needs.
A flexible, confident, and dynamic approach, ready to adapt to various responsibilities.
Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills to support pupils and collaborate with the teaching team.
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process one through Reeson Education.
