As our Lead Platform Engineer, you will be the guardian of our cloud platform's health and performance. Your expertise will be crucial in defining our cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap, ensuring stability, optimizing performance, and driving continuous improvement. Position: Lead Platform Engineer (Azure)

Location: Mainly Remote (1 Day a Month in the Lake District)

Salary: Up to £85,000 + Great Benefits

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Strategy: Define and drive the cloud infrastructure strategy, ensuring alignment with our business goals.
Management: Oversee the stability, performance, and maintenance of our Cloud Platform. You will have line manager responsibilities, guiding and mentoring a small team of talented engineers.
Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by incorporating the latest industry trends and technologies into our cloud platform.Skills & Experience Required:

Azure Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
Infrastructure as Code: Mastery in "Infrastructure as Code" practices, utilizing tools like Terraform or BICEP.
Networking & Templating: Deep knowledge of full cloud networking and templating tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
CI/CD Mastery: Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and practices including GitHub, ADO, Jenkins, TeamCity, and automation techniques.
Scripting Proficiency: Experience with scripting languages/tools such as Bash, Ruby, or Python.
Industry Experience: Ideally, you have a background in financial services or highly regulated environments.
