Astute's Nuclear team is exclusively partnering with one of the international leaders supporting in the nuclear energy sector to recruit a Senior Project Controller for its Somerset site, Hinkley Point C.

The Senior Project Controller role comes with a salary of £55-65k, a great pension scheme, private healthcare, excellent development opportunities and full support for professional development.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager you will:

Use SAP for cost data extraction and reporting
Collaborate with project managers to estimate costs and validate forecasts.
Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and productivity reporting.
Create and manage project schedules and work breakdown structures
Update schedules with progress and reforecasting, ensuring accuracy.
Develop and manage a resource-loaded schedule, providing various reports.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

· APM Associate Membership

· APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)

· Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Specialist

· Primavera P6 Fundamentals

· APMG Project Planning and Controls- Practitioner

· APM Project Risk Level 1

· APMG Earned Value Foundation

· A track record of delivering high quality and advanced project controls outputs

· Full understanding of Cost Control, Planning, RAID Management, and DC

Personal skills

The Senior Project Controller role would suit someone who has:

Excellent team working skills.
The ability to work with minimum supervision and intervention.
Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative with a can -do attitude.
Ability to take responsibility for problems within their own remit and to deliver solutions.
Results focused with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
