Sales and Operations Planner
Location: Cannock, West Midlands
Salary: Up to £32.5k
Hours: Mon-Fri
Grafton recruiting are working on behalf of a successful, leading manufacturing business in the Cannock area who are looking for an experienced Operations Planner to join their team.

Duties & responsibilities:

Play a key role in development and implementation of S&OP rules through understanding business and customer requirements
Assist in development of ERP system to improve forecast accuracy and S&OP process efficiency
Work closely with the sales teams to understand customers ordering behaviours and collaborate to drive order accuracy improvement
Review sales demand, understand the assumptions / trends / constraints and opportunities to generate & communicate the supply plan to key stakeholders
Analyse sales trends and identify the key drivers of sales for key products
Identify abnormal demand to prevent downstream issues
Work closely with the factories to ensure adherence to the build plans and understand any reason for deviation and potential impact to stock and service levels
Provide scenario plans to evaluate management of constraints and opportunities, show agility in evaluating the impact of change in demand and / or supply and make recommendations
Monitor and challenge adherence to the sales and production plans
Publish stock availability data
Develop and publish score card of the business performance
Liaise and build strong communication channels with all departmentsThe perfect candidate will have:

Experience of S&OP process
Strong analytical skills
Must be able to analyse and interpret data to make decisions / recommendations
Continuous Improvement mind-set, uses a data and evidence approach
Effective communication & engagement skills
Good commercial understanding and business acumen
Understanding of ERP systems, forecasting and capacity planning modules
Desire to establish good understanding of Customer and Supplier relationships
Experience within a manufacturing backgroundFurther details include:
