Senior Mechanical Fitter
Full-time, Permanent
Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4pm, Friday 7:30am – 3pm
£40,000 - £45,000
Smethwick, West Midlands

Do you have machine build experience? Are you looking to join a progressive global manufacturing
business? My client is a well-established manufacturing business that supply into the construction
industry, in addition to designing and manufacturing their own machinery. They are looking for a Senior
mechanical fitter to join their expanding team, the ideal candidate will have previous mechanical
experience within a relevant engineering field.

Senior Mechanical Fitter
Job Description
•Build a range of heavy-duty machinery from start to finish
•Post-build testing of completed machinery and subsections of machinery.
•Working from drawings you will be required to assemble precision bearings and work with fits & limits
in a range of applications.
•Use manual machines to modify/correct parts

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
•A mechanical engineering qualification or time served
•Strong mechanical machine building experience
•Able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings
•Machine build experience, along with a background of the assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical
parts
