IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Infrastructure Specialist – VMWare, Windows, Office 365, Linux Storage, Back-up, SQL, Network and Security
  
Our rapidly growing Manufacturing client, based in Livingstone, is seeking a hands-on and technically astute IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Infrastructure Specialist to help shape and oversee the company’s cutting-edge IT Infrastructure.
 
As IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will have strong experience of supporting, maintaining, administering and troubleshooting, VMWare, software, hardware, physical and virtual  Windows Servers, Applications, Hardware and Software.
 
The ideal 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer, will be happy to get involved in various projects as well as assisting with 1st and 2nd Line BAU support.
 
Strong VMWare skills are a must!

Key responsibilities:

Take ownership to ensure all work and changes to the infrastructure are performed in such a way as to minimise disruption to existing business use.
Support, install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot, LAN, WAN, SAN, Networking, Firewalls, Cisco Switches and Routers
Administration and patch management of VMWare within the Datacentre
Hands on installation, configuration and management of server racks 
Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge and experience of working within a VMWare environment
Experience of installing and support Windows applications and servers
Proven experience of working as a hand-on Infrastructure Engineer
SQL Administration
Good knowledge of Security and Networks (routing, switching, VPN, TCP/IP, firewalls etc)
