Job Advert: Learning Support Assistant - Forest Schools (Full-Time)

Location: Primary School, Cardiff City Centre
Position: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant - Forest Schools
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: From £85.04 per day

About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a full-time role at a fantastic primary school in Cardiff city centre. The role is within the school’s Forest Schools provision, which offers children an exciting and enriching outdoor learning experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Forest Schools environment and ideally hold Forest Schools training. This role could be come permanent after a successful trial period.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the delivery of Forest Schools sessions, encouraging outdoor learning and exploration.

* Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children.

* Work alongside the Forest Schools leader to develop outdoor learning activities.

* Provide individual support to students, including those with additional needs, in the forest setting.

* Promote positive relationships and encourage confidence, independence, and emotional well-being in children.

Ideal Candidate:

* Previous experience working within a Forest Schools setting is essential.

* Forest Schools qualification/training is highly desirable.

* Passion for outdoor learning and supporting children’s development in a natural environment.

* Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school or outdoor education context.

* Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
