Control and Instrumentation Department Head

The Role:
Due to growing business in our our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS), a role has opened for a Control and Instrumentation Department Head to work on high profile projects.

The Control and Instrumentation Department Head will be managing and leading the I&C Team, supervising and allocating work to the project engineers and designers as well as co-ordinating with other departments, dealing directly with clients and package vendors within multiple industries.

You will:-

Prepare scopes of work and estimates to support proposals.
Deliver the engineering design scope to budgets and programmes.
Prepare, check and/or approve design calculations, specifications, data sheets, reports, scope of work and drawings to British/International Standards and Codes of Practice.
Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and client standards.You will have:-.

A minimum of 10 years of instrument & control experience, preferably in oil & gas, chemicals and/or other high hazard process industries
Experience of dealing directly with both Clients and Vendors at all levels
A demonstrable track record of functional safety, ATEX and equipment for electrically hazardous areas
The ability to allocate work appropriately to design staff and monitor progress to meet project needsWhat we offer:
