Technical Processing Engineer required, based in Herefordshire, permanent position, starting ASAP paying up to £34,000 per annum

Title: Technical Processing Engineer

Location: Herefordshire

Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum

Term: 12-month contract

SRG are currently recruiting for a Technical Processing Engineer to join a global material manufacturer based in Herefordshire. This is a permanent role with full training provided. This role will be involved in process optimisation, technical support and help with the production of these materials. Applications from graduates are welcome.

What the job involves:

Ensure continuous production of various materials, maintaining product quality, and minimizing re-testing.
Work closely with the processing teams.
Participate in corrective actions for product failures, which may involve customer and site visits.
Understand local quality assurance test methods, harmonized product standards, and associated test standards.
Develop knowledge of continuous production systems to support the production teams on site.
Assist with trials for new product development and improvement.
Ensure accurate and timely data for continuous improvement.
Liaise with suppliers, technical establishments, certification bodies, and customers, including attending conferences or further training as required.

What we are looking for:

Chemistry / Chemical Engineering/ materials science / or similar graduate
Recent experience (University/Industrial)
Competent with MS Office software packages
Responsible and proactive, eager to learn and curious!
Good communication & organisational skills
Logical approach
Team player
