Description

Our client, a global leading manufacturing organisation based in North Lanarkshire is currently hiring for a Production Planner to join the team.  As a Production Planner, you’ll report to the Inventory Manager and work closely with the Production Manager to ensure that production schedules are aligned with business needs. This includes maintaining stock levels, controlling inventory, and managing resources and equipment to optimise production planning. You’ll be involved in a variety of key processes, including stock accuracy, raw material management, and supporting the production team to meet customer demand while balancing plant capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Ensuring efficient stock levels and minimising stockouts through effective planning.

Managing production scheduling to meet customer demand and operational needs.

Utilising SAP and IBP tools for seamless communication and coordination with production and customer service teams.

Monitoring and controlling inventory, with a focus on raw materials and finished goods.

Ensuring safety and compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.

Overseeing bulk tanker scheduling and shelf life controls.

What We Need from You:

A willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to the team’s success

Strong logical reasoning skills, particularly in numerical calculations

Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate Excel skills or higher)

An understanding or readiness to learn stock control systems (SAP or similar)
