Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:
Are you an experienced quantity surveyor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship? We’re working with a well-established, industry leading and growing specialist joinery that are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage costs and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality bespoke projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of bespoke joinery projects. You’ll manage costs with precision, collaborate with skilled craftsmen, and maintain strong relationships with clients. Here’s what your role will involve:

Cost Management & Reporting:

* Managing project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and value optimisation.

* Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, variations, and final accounts tailored to bespoke joinery projects.

* Conducting risk and opportunity assessments, providing accurate financial updates to stakeholders.

Team Collaboration & Support:

* Working closely with design and production teams to ensure project costs align with client expectations and production capabilities.

* Assisting and supporting team members to ensure seamless project delivery.

Client Relationships:

* Serving as a key commercial point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

* Participating in client meetings, including pre-contract and progress reviews, to align on costs, timelines, and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with experience in bespoke joinery or high-end fit-out projects preferred.

* Strong skills in cost management, contract negotiation, and final accounts within specialist sectors.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.

* A proactive approach, with a strong attention to detail and an ability to identify risks and opportunities.
