Job title: Leasehold Officer

Pay Rate: £13.94 - £15.45 (PAYE) or £18.41 - £20.40 (Umbrella) per hour

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Brentwood Borough Council

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Assignment Duration: 3 months with potential permanent post

Are you experienced in leasehold property management and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service? Join our team as a Leasehold Officer and make a real difference in our community.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage leaseholder service charge accounts.
Monitor income and take appropriate action to recover outstanding debts.
Issue Section 20 notices and liaise with the repairs team on major works projects.
Process Right to Buy applications and conduct necessary fraud checks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and internal/external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records using IT systems such as Microsoft Office, Orchard, and Locata.
Review and improve policies and procedures related to leasehold management.Requirements

Demonstrable experience in leasehold services and customer service environments.
Working knowledge of leasehold management and arrears recovery.
Competent in IT packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work empathetically with diverse residents.
