Maintenance Technician required. My Client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufcaturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to employ a Maintenance technician to bolster their Service and Repair team. The ideal candidate will have have maintenance and repair experinece, will be Mechanically Qualified, will hold ideally be COMPEX certified and will be based within a commutable distance of Wigan.

Maintenance Technician Position Overview

Maintenance and repairs of Chemical plant equipment where necessary
Installation of Chemical plant equipment where necessary
Testing and Calibrating to Quality Control Specifications
Resolve any unplanned breakdowns
Responding to required corrective and preventive actions
Liaise with Maintenance Manager to ensure all items required for scheduled shut down are obtained and that stoppage time is minimised
Accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner

Maintenance Technician Position Requirements

Previous experience in a Maintenance role essential
Qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance
Mechanically biased with a working knowledge of electrical engineering
COMPEX Certified - this can be provided
Proficient in Fault Finding, Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair
Any experience working on a COMAH will be advantageous
Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Maintenance Technician Position Remuneration

£20.19 per hour
Monday - Friday 8:00 - 16:30 - 42.5 hours a week (£45,931.60 per annum)
28 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
