Role: Commercial Manager - Anglian Water
Employment Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager seeking a leadership role within a prominent large contractor in the water industry? Our client, a leading contractor known for delivering exceptional infrastructure projects, is looking for a dynamic Commercial Manager to oversee the financial and commercial aspects of critical water infrastructure projects within the Anglian Water region.

Responsibilities:

Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of water infrastructure projects, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports for projects.
Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Identify and mitigate commercial risks, implementing effective solutions to protect project profitability.
Oversee procurement strategies and ensure value for money is achieved across all project activities.
Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Manage change control processes, including assessing and negotiating variations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
Engage regularly with clients and stakeholders to provide commercial updates and address queries.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the water sector or related infrastructure industries.
Strong knowledge of commercial management practices, including contract law, risk management, and cost control.
Demonstrable expertise in managing NEC contracts (or similar forms of contract).
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
A degree or professional qualification in quantity surveying, commercial management, or a related discipline (e.g., RICS, MRICS).
Familiarity with the Anglian Water Framework or similar utility frameworks is highly desirable.
