We're working with a highly-regarded law firm who are looking for a Post-Completions Legal Assistant to work in the property team. Based in their office in Manchester, you’ll be preparing and submitting land registry applications and dealing with a variety of Land Registry queries on behalf of fee earners. This role is perfect for a candidate with some experience in residential or commercial post completions.

Responsibilities include:

* Preparing and submitting land registry applications including transfers, leases, charges, CN1s etc.

* Raising and dealing with a variety of different queries with Land Registry on behalf of fee earners

* Entering and updating the electronic Post Completion checklist

* Drafting a variety of SDLT/LTT Returns

* Calculating the SDLT/LTT payable for each transaction and arranging payments to HMRC/WRA of any SDLT/LTT due

* Registering and satisfying charges and debentures at Companies’ House

What we need from you:

* Flexible and able to manage quick changes to process with good planning skills

* Some relevant experience with commercial and/or residential property post completions

* Excellent communication skills and remain professional and credible
