Maintenance Engineer, Bedford, Monday - Friday, Salary £40,000 + Benefits
 
Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge? A leading FMCG company in Bedford is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

As the successful Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Managing all maintenance activities, including preventative and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
You will play a key role in optimizing PPM schedules, improving equipment uptime, troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns, and coordinating with production teams to minimise downtime during maintenance.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement maintenance improvement projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience as a maintenance engineer ideally within an FMCG environment, with a strong electro-mechanical bias and the ability to fault find on production machinery. An excellent understanding of hydraulics and pneumatic, as well as the ability to read technical drawings and schematics, is desirable. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have some the following qualifications:
ONC qualification as a minimum in an Electrical discipline or Multi skilled Engineering qualification, C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro - technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance, Time served apprentice, HNC level in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering
 
This position would suit; Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Day Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, service Engineer or Packaging Engineer.
