Sheet Metal Plater

This is a superb opportunity for a Metal Sheet Plater to join the business through this rapid period of growth. The business is looking for a driven and motivated Metal Sheet Plater to support the team through these exciting times.

Key Responsibilities

Metal Fabrication: Craft high-quality metalwork products with thickness between 1mm to 10mm, products would consist of Plenums, Doors, Manifolds, and others to exact specifications.
Welding & Assembly: Utilise MIG welding techniques to assemble, finish, and inspect various metal products.
Design Reading: Interpret designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication.
Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for structural soundness, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain workshop tools and machinery to ensure smooth operation and safety.
Problem-Solving: Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to troubleshoot design or fabrication challenges.Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial/architectural setting.
Skills: Proficient in MIG welding, metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metals, welding procedures, and fabrication tools.
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Safety Focused: Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures related to fabrication and workshop environments.Preferred Qualities

Experience with bespoke and custom metal fabrication projects
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Positive attitude and a keen interest in continuous learning and skills development
Passion for traditional blacksmithing and modern fabrication techniques
Keen to keep house keeping up to a high standard
