ISQ Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated Mill Operative to join one of our Suffolk food clients. 

Prior experience in a similar production environment would be ideal, including being physically fit to be on your feet most of the day, and self-motivated to keep on track of maintenance and investigations when required.

Key Responsibilities

Operation of 2 flour mills in a 24-hour / 365-day operation.
Monitor and adjust cleaning and processing equipment.
Continually work towards increasing the mill capacity and optimising the yield performance.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and applicable programmes (e.g. HACCP) and supporting documentation.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment which is “inspection and audit ready” at all times.
Assist the Maintenance department with preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities.
Complete various shift production and food safety reports.
Loading of flour tankers.
Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Strives to achieve “operational excellence”. Candidate Criteria

Previous experience in a similar production / food environment (essential).
Must have full UK driving license & access to own car.
Must have full Right to Work in the UK.
Mechanical / process minded.
Able to work at height and in confined spaces.
Flexible to company hours / staff holiday cover as required.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Hands-on approach and works well under pressure.
Decisive and able to prioritise tasks. (Please note this client does not offer VISA sponsorship, only candidates with full Right to Work in the UK and relevant experience will be considered)
