Mechanical Inspector / 10 mins drive from Uxbridge, 40 mins by public transport / £18ph   
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 12pm
Overtime: 1.5x basic rate (5-10 hours per week available)   

Syntech are searching for a Mechanical Inspector for our aerospace client based nearby to Uxbridge. Working on a life-saving product, you will be inspecting machined and goods in components using a variety of engineering hand tools and technical drawings.  

Mechanical Inspector Duties:
• Inspect components using tools such as verniers, calipers and micrometres
• Read technical engineering drawings to inspect components correctly
• Create inspection documentation that is accurate
• Record all your work via SAP
• Document all non-confirming products  

Mechanical Inspector Profile:
• Proven capability to read engineering drawings to a high level
• Experience using hand tools such as verniers, calipers and micrometres
• Knowledge of GD&T symbols and drawings
• The ability to read in metric and imperial measurements is ideal
• CMM experience is ideal but not essential • Background in Aerospace / Automotive / Motorsport / Subcontract ideally
