HVAC Design Engineer

Due to increased workload my client are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a range of ongoing projects in the HVAC sector

Ideally, they require previous experience in a Building Services role, excellent technical knowledge of the industry and a thorough understanding of all stages of the design process.

Duties:
· Accurately design HVAC systems for a range of projects.

· Respond to client queries and communicate design progress and changes as required.

· Prepare specifications aligned to your designs.

· Have a broad knowledge of systems available on the market and be able to confidently recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions.

· Contribute to discussions on developing options for VE.

· Liaise with the design team to solve problems and develop solutions.

· Be able to work competently in CAD and other relevant programmes.

· Oversee testing and commissioning activities if required and report on outcomes.

· Support other activities as required.

· Contribute to QA procedures.

This role is office-based. There may be the requirement to attend meetings off-site on occasion, should the project dictate.

Requirements:

· A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

· Relevant experience in Building Services Engineering, across a variety of sectors.

· Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and other drawing packages.

· Ability to manage a challenging and varied workload, work independently, and assist team members where required.
